Church & Community
Interfaith Hospitality NetworkThe Interfaith Hospitality Network maintains the mission, "to temporarily house homeless people in a caring environment and support them in accessing community resources including child care, education, transportation and jobs". A network of Main Line community churches and synagogues work together to provide temporary night lodging and meals for homeless women, their children, and families. While our church is not a host, we have supported this program with meals and evening supervision for over ten years. Click here for more information about what IHN does and how to get involved.
Guardian AngelsThe Guardian Angel program provides a caring touch and link to BUMC for our college youth, including undergraduate, graduate and overseas students. Students are enrolled in the program by their parents. A secret "Angel" sends cards and small items to the student and prays for him or her during the academic year. Signup forms are available in the church office..
