Berwyn UMC excited to be a Mission Central HUB. Mission Central is the mission affiliate of the Susquehanna Conference of the United Methodist Church that responds to natural and man-made disasters with relief supplies and supplies humanitarian goods and logistical services to hundreds of different ministry and social service agencies. Mission Central manages storage and domestic distribution of UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) disaster response relief kits

Mission Central is able to accomplish its objectives through the use of HUBs, which are "satellite operations" of Mission Central. One of the main activities supported by HUBs is the creation and collection of relief kits consisting of include School, Hygiene, and Cleaning kits. We also are a drop-off location for kits assembled by individuals or groups in our local area; we make regular trips to Mission Central in Mechanicsburg to deliver completed UMCOR kits.

If you have any questions on this valuable initiative or would like to get involved, please contact Gina DeFlavia, Kathy Mullin, or Joy Fuerst.

Relief Kits are assembled with the following items (please note specified sizes):
- School Kit
- Hygiene Kit
- Cleaning Kit
