BUMNS December 2022 Update

Jane Harris

December is upon us and 2022 is nearly over! The weather may be grey and cold but it is always bright and warm at nursery school. The hallways are filled with colorful holiday projects that the children have worked so hard on. The children are very excited for the holidays. We will be performing our holiday show on December 15th. Even the youngest children have a part to play and all have been practicing their songs. This is a cherished BUMNS tradition and we are happy there are no limits on participation this year.

The Nursery School would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a peaceful, healthy New Year.

Improving Our Welcome: Freshly Painted Parking Lot

Published: September 03, 2024

We are excited to share that our church has taken a significant step to improve hospitality, welcome, and safety by cleaning and repainting the lines in our parking lot. The difference is remarkable, and it’s something we can all be proud of when welcoming people to our church. One of the key updates includes clearly marked handicapped parking spots, making it easier for those with mobility challenges to access our building. We’ve also refreshed the directional arrows to ensure a smooth one-way flow through the lot, and clearly marked the "Do Not Enter" signs at the exit to enhance safety for everyone.Take a look at the pictures below to see the improvements:Handicapped Spots with Improved VisibilityOne-way Direction Arrows for Safety"Do Not Enter" at the Exit for Improved SafetyThis project was funded by the church’s reserve funds, but if you’d like to contribute to help defray the cost, your one-time donation would be greatly appreciated. Sandwiched!

Published: October 17, 2024

We discuss the challenges faced by the "sandwich generation," who are responsible for caring for their aging parents and raising their own children simultaneously. Navigating these difficulties can be made easier by turning to one's faith for guidance, comfort, and seeking support from the faith community. By trusting in God's plan, practicing self-care, and finding joy in small moments, individuals can overcome the challenges of the sandwich generation and find peace and contentment in their lives.
