In Beloved Memory

Ann Morrow West passed away on December 31, 2022. She was predeceased by her husband, Jean (LJ) West, with whom she shared 63 years of marriage. She is survived by her four children: Lori Godwin (Chris), Susan Burriss (Vic), Kimberly Brinn (Nathaniel) and Scott West (Kathleen). She was blessed with nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Ann was born in Princeton, Indiana on August 1, 1931 to Fanny and Vesper Morrow.

Ann was grateful to have a career and passion in life that were the same - she loved to teach. She graduated from Indiana University where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority.

Ann began her career teaching high school English & Spanish in Hinsdale, Illinois where she met Jean. Later in her career she earned a Master of Education from West Chester University.

She worked until retirement for the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit teaching reading and then, after retiring from full-time teaching, established a successful tutoring business for many years.

Ann was a long-time active member of Berwyn United Methodist Church where she participated (or served) on many committees. We are incredibly gratful for all that Ann has done to bless Berwyn Church.  Whether through her ongoing prayers as a part of the prayer team, to spearheading the creation of the prayer shawl ministry and serving in reaching out to new visitors, and most recently for her excitement, support, and prayers in getting the food pantry started.  The food pantry, having started in May 2022, now reaches over 30 people per month and its reach is growing.

Ann loved to spend time at the Jersey Shore, debate politics, read and spend time with her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and loved to have family dinners.
