Learning to Be the Church: A Look at 1 Corinthians

10/20/2026 - 11/19/2026

The church in Corinth had plenty of problems. Its members argued about leaders, status, worship, spiritual gifts, and who mattered most. Yet Paul never tells them to give up on the church. Instead, he continually calls them back to what God is creating among them: a community that belongs to Christ and therefore belongs to one another.

Over five weeks, Learning to Be the Church asks what holds a Christian community together when personalities, preferences, and priorities pull it apart. Paul leads us from division to belonging, from individual gifts to one body, and ultimately to love and resurrection. The church isn't simply a collection of individuals who happen to worship in the same place. We are the Body of Christ—and because Christ is risen, even our struggles and failures do not get the final word.
