Living with Hope: A Look at 1 Thessalonians

9/8/2026 - 9/24/2026

What does it look like to follow Jesus when the future is uncertain? Paul’s first letter to the Thessalonians is written to a young church learning how to live out its faith in the midst of pressure, questions, grief, and uncertainty. Paul celebrates the ways their faith has taken root while encouraging them to keep growing in love and faithfulness.

Over three weeks, Living with Hope explores a distinctly Christian kind of hope—not optimism that everything will work out the way we want, but confidence that God remains faithful whatever comes. We will consider how faith changes the way we live today, how Christians face grief and death, and how the promise of Christ gives us courage for an uncertain tomorrow.

  1. Faith That Takes Root - 09/13/2026

What does faith look like when the future is uncertain? In 1 Thessalonians, Paul celebrates a church whose faith, love, and hope have become visible in the way they live. As we face questions about what comes next, we are reminded that Christian hope is not confidence that everything will turn out the way we want, but trust that God remains faithful—and a call to live with faith, love, and hope whatever the future holds.
