Opening Hymn
God Will Take Care of you UMH 130
Prayer of Confession
God of all life, you care for us even when we forget to care for one another. You guide us into a way that is good and true. When we get caught up in the moment and don’t think about how our words or actions affect others, forgive us and lead us toward peace. When we are hurting and look for someone to blame, forgive us and help us to rebuild trust. When we cling to our differences, refusing to see any good in those on the other side, forgive us and open our hearts to see your image in every person.
Living God, with you all things are possible: even enemies can become neighbors, even hope can arise in despair, even strangers can join together to seek your purpose. May we be changed by your grace, made new and ready to bring new life to the world, one loved neighbor at a time. Amen.
Words of Assurance
Leader: In Christ, all things are made possible. Even our deepest wounds can find healing, and even our broken relationships can be restored. When we are forgiven, we are freed to see God’s image in every person, and to build communities rooted in peace and trust. Let us live into this new life, knowing that through Christ, we can be agents of change and love in the world.
People: Thanks be to God. Amen.

Offertory Prayer
God of provision, just as you sustained Elijah and the widow with your miraculous care, we trust that you will provide for us as we offer what we have. Bless these gifts, that they may bring hope to those in need, comfort to the hurting, and strength to the weak. May our giving reflect your generosity, and may it bear witness to your grace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
