Order of Worship for Sunday, March 30th 2025

Prelude

Welcome

Call to Worship

Leader: The beggar at our gate is not invisible to God.
People: Open our hearts, Lord, to see and love as You do.

Leader: Worship is not only words but action; not only belief but love in motion.
People: We come to worship, ready to live out the gospel.

Opening Hymn

For the Healing of the Nations UMH 428

Prayer of Confession

Holy God, You call us to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with You, yet we confess that we often shrink before the enormity of suffering in the world. The needs are so vast, the brokenness so deep, that we feel powerless to make a difference. Too often, we allow our fear and uncertainty to become an excuse for inaction. Forgive us, Lord. Remind us that we are not alone in this work. Give us courage to take even small steps of faith, trusting that You are at work through us. Strengthen our resolve to love as You love, serve as You serve, and never turn away from those in need. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Words of Assurance

Leader: Even when we feel powerless in the face of suffering, God’s grace is more than enough. Hear the good news: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven and sent to do His work with courage!

People: Thanks be to God! Amen.

Offertory Response

Praise God, from Whom All Blessings Flow UMH 95

Offertory Prayer

Generous God, All that we have comes from You, and we give back a portion in gratitude and trust. Bless these gifts, that they may be used to bring hope to the weary, food to the hungry, and justice to the oppressed. May our offerings be more than money—may they be our lives, poured out in love for You and for our neighbors. In Christ’s name, we pray. Amen.
