Welcome

Call to Worship

Leader: Welcome, beloved community, as we gather in this sacred space.
People: We come together, acknowledging the struggles and hardships we witness in our world.

Leader: Let us remember that God is not the source of these afflictions, but rather the One who walks beside us in them.
People: We find hope in knowing that God is our steadfast companion and our ultimate source of strength.

Leader: In this time of worship, may our hearts be opened to God's presence, and may we find solace and inspiration in His unfailing love.

Reflections and Caring Conversations

Please use the prompts and prayers below to aid you in your devotions for this week.

  • Morning Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, as we begin this new day, we humbly come before you seeking your strength and guidance. Help us to relinquish our reliance on our own abilities and instead trust in your infinite power. Grant us the wisdom to navigate any challenges that come our way, knowing that with you, nothing is impossible. Fill our hearts with peace and assurance, and may your presence be with us throughout this day. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

  • Evening Prayer: Gracious Lord, as the day draws to a close, we reflect on the trials and triumphs we've experienced. We thank you for your unwavering support and for carrying us through when our strength faltered. As we lay our burdens at your feet, grant us rest and rejuvenation. Fill our hearts with gratitude for your faithfulness and grace. Help us release our worries, trusting that you will continue to guide and protect us. In your loving embrace, we find peace and assurance for the night ahead. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

  • Reflection Question 1: Think of a time where you were in the midst of something difficult and you relied on your own strength.  Did it go well?  Did your strength give out?

  • Reflection Question 2: Think of a time when you were going through something difficult and your strength ran out and you relied on God's. How did that impact/shape your faith?
