Called to Freedom: A Look at Galatians

9/29/2026 - 10/15/2026

The gospel is supposed to set us free. So why are we so tempted to turn faith into another system of rules, expectations, and measurements of who belongs? In Galatians, Paul writes with urgency to a church that has begun adding requirements to the good news of Jesus Christ. His response is passionate and uncompromising: our identity and our relationship with God rest in Christ, not in our ability to prove ourselves worthy.

Over three weeks, Called to Freedom explores grace, belonging, and what Christian freedom actually means. Paul reminds us that freedom in Christ isn't permission to do whatever we want. It is freedom from having to earn our place with God—and freedom to become people whose lives are shaped by the Spirit and expressed through love.

  1. No Other Gospel - 10/04/2026

The churches in Galatia had heard the good news of Jesus Christ—but now some were telling them that faith in Christ was not enough. They needed to do more, follow the right rules, and meet additional requirements to truly belong. Paul responds with urgency: there is no other gospel. As we begin our series *Called to Freedom*, we’ll hear Paul’s invitation to stop trying to earn what God has already given us in Christ and rediscover the freedom of grace—a grace we will see and taste together at Christ’s table.
